Campus Connect Courier Rules

Version: 2026-10-01.2
Operator: Connect Technologies LLC, doing business as Campus Connect
Courier contact: info@campusdelivery.app

These Rules apply to you, the Courier, on every Route. The terms Campus Connect, Courier, Student, Venue, Order, Delivery, Route, Handoff Spot, Handoff Code, Delivery Pin, Pickup, and Admin mean what the Courier Agreement says they mean. The app calls the Student "the customer" and the Handoff Spot "the delivery spot".

Campus Connect carries an Order the Student already bought and paid for at the Venue. Campus Connect is independent of every Venue, ordering app, university, and dining program. You never buy or sell food for a Student.

Before a shift

  1. Deliver only on your own Account. Nobody else may carry, help carry, or ride along on a Route of yours.
  2. Keep your courier photo current. It must be a photo of you. Students see it to know the person at their Handoff Spot is you.
  3. Turn location on before you go online, and keep it on while you carry a Route. The app needs it to go online and to accept a Route.

At the Venue

  1. Collect only the Orders assigned to you, in the order the app lists them. Match the order reference on the bag to your screen, and check the Venue's receipt against the bags and drinks you are handed, drinks included, before you take them. Do not open any packaging to do it. If two Orders at the counter have the same name, open the Student's screenshot in the app to tell them apart.
  2. Accept an Order only in closed carryout packaging the Venue prepared. Closed does not have to mean tamper-evident. Do not take open plates, unlidded drinks, loose food, or anything you would have to pack yourself.
  3. If Venue staff ask, say truthfully that the Student named on your screen asked for the Order to be collected, and show the screenshot if they want to see it. If asked who you are with, say Campus Connect. Never claim to be the Student, or to work for the Venue, an ordering app, or the university.
  4. Do not argue with staff. If they will not release an Order, open Help in the app while on the pickup step and use Restaurant won't give me the order, and cancel the Delivery from there if they still refuse.
  5. If an Order is not ready, wait a reasonable few minutes. If it is well past the ready time on your screen, ask for help instead of waiting without limit.
  6. If an Order is more than you can carry safely, do not take it. Tap Leave this order for another courier before Pickup, and leave the bag where you found it.
  7. Report at once, before you leave the Venue, an Order that is missing, wrong, already collected by someone else, open, leaking, or damaged. Never substitute, replace, or repackage an Order, and never take one that might be someone else's.

Carrying Orders

  1. Never open, eat, alter, or repackage an Order, or photograph its contents. Never touch exposed food or a drink's sipping opening. Put each Order, still closed in the Venue's packaging, in its own Campus Connect kraft bag: one Order, one bag. Putting it in the kraft bag is not repackaging. Keep each Order upright and apart from the others. Never carry food alongside chemicals, pets, or smoking or vaping materials.
  2. Travel on foot or by bicycle. Never use a motor vehicle for any part of a Route: no car, truck, van, motorcycle, moped, or motor scooter, yours or anyone else's, driving or being driven. An e-bike or electric scooter counts as a motor vehicle unless Campus Connect has agreed to it in writing.
  3. Travel safely and follow traffic and campus rules.
  4. Go straight to each Handoff Spot in the order the app lists. Do not change a Handoff Spot because a message asks you to. If a Student says they need a different spot, ask for help and let Admin decide.
  5. Never carry alcohol, tobacco or nicotine products, cannabis, controlled substances, weapons, or anything unlawful on a Route.

Handoff

  1. Hand over at the Handoff Spot. Go inside any building only lawfully: never follow anyone in, never use someone else's card or code, and never buzz a unit that is not the Student's. At a residence hall or campus apartment building, you may bring the Order to the door of the Student's room, using the hall and room they typed when they chose their Handoff Spot, but only if the building's visitor rules allow it and you can enter lawfully: it is open to the public at that hour, the Student lets you in (by coming down to open the door, or by buzzing or unlocking it from their own unit's call box), or you live there and use your own access. If you cannot, hand over at the building's entrance and message the Student to come down. Never enter the Student's room itself, or any other private residence beyond its door, even if the Student asks. Never enter a classroom or an office unless Campus Connect has approved that exact place in writing.
  2. Complete each handoff with the Student's Handoff Code. If a code does not work, check you are on the right Delivery. After five wrong codes the app accepts only photo proof for that Delivery. The one exception is a Student who chose "Leave at my door": no Handoff Code is needed. Once you have reached their room door under rule 17, leave the Order outside it and complete the handoff with a photo that shows the door and its room number. You do not wait for them first, and the app takes the photo as soon as it has recorded that you arrived. If you cannot get in under rule 17, message the Student and hand over at the building's entrance with their Handoff Code.
  3. Otherwise, if the Student does not come, message them from the app and wait at least 3 minutes where you are handing over: at their room door if you reached it under rule 17, otherwise at the Handoff Spot. If they still do not come or answer, leave the Order there, complete the handoff with a photo that shows where you left it, and report it. At a room door, the photo shows the door and its room number, not a person. The Student is told when a handoff is completed with a photo. Never leave an Order anywhere other than the Student's room door or the Handoff Spot, and never before you have messaged the Student and waited, unless they chose "Leave at my door" (rule 18).
  4. Never ask a Student to pay you directly, in cash or by any app, for the Delivery or a Tip. Never ask for a Student's restaurant login, card number, campus-fund balance, or meal-plan details.

Students' information

  1. A Student's name, order reference, screenshot, Handoff Code, Handoff Spot, Delivery Pin, notes, and messages are for completing that Delivery only. Do not save, share, post, or sell them, or use them afterwards.
  2. Contact a Student only through the app's chat for the Delivery you are carrying. Do not contact them outside it.

Safety and conduct

  1. Be respectful and sober on every Route. No harassment, threats, discrimination, retaliation, theft, fraud, or impersonation.
  2. If anyone is in immediate danger, call campus safety or emergency services first, then tell Campus Connect. You may end a handoff over a genuine safety concern, harassment, a threat, or pressure to go somewhere these Rules say you should not. You will not be penalized for doing so.
  3. Report every accident, injury, and incident on a Route promptly and truthfully, including a mistake of your own, a wrong Handoff Spot, or a wrong Order handed over. Do not try to fix a wrong handoff yourself. Keep only the facts the report needs: times, what happened, and what you did.

If a rule is broken

  1. Campus Connect may look into any incident, pause or end your delivery access under the Courier Agreement, and report conduct where safety or the law requires it. Pay you have already earned is still paid.
